Knives in progress

A good  customer has ordered some custom bushcraft knives.  He happened to be in the shop when we were practicing some heat treating and was impressed with the edge retention on the practice blades.   We were short on kindling and 10 or 15 oak logs were batoned/split  into thumb sized pieces with the newly sharpened blades and then I shaved the hair on my arm.

Recycling at it's best.  Old car springs turned into useful sharp shiny things.
